From beginner to aspiring pro
Treble Cone’s Snow Sport department is made up of an international team of friendly, highly qualified instructors and coaches to ensure that everyone can improve their technique and get more out of their day on the mountain.
I am a level 3 CASI snowboard instructor and also a level 1 Ski instructor. I can teach you just about anything you'd like to try on a snowboard, I especially enjoy free ride, bumps and buttering. I have been teaching for 8 seasons now and my home mountain is Big White, BC Canada. My favourite thing about working at Treble Cone is the cliff drops and watching the Kea's being cheeky. If you fancy coming for a rip with me drop in and say hi.
Having qualified as an Instructor in September 2013, I have been teaching back to back winters ever since. This will be my 4th winter teaching at Treble Cone and currently travel to Big White Ski Resort in Canada for the northern hemisphere. While I enjoy teaching any lesson, I specialise in coaching Women’s Freestyle and teaching Kids Freeride programmes. I come back to Treble Cone year after year because of the amazing terrain, fantastic weather and the skilled team that I work with. It’s a world class place to develop skills and has the best views New Zealand has to offer.
I am a Chronic Alpine Skiing Fanatic who specialises in empathy. I have heaps of qualifications plus a few DSQs and a lot of DNFs. This will be my 69th season plus some other educational stints. My home resort is TC- but I feel at home whenever I am in the mountains. The best thing about TC though is the love that people have for each other.

I grew up skiing at Sunshine Village. I have been teaching skiing for about 10 seasons and specialize in coaching young athletes and putting fearful clients at ease. I have a level 2 Canadian coach and instructor certification, and have recently passed the ski portion of my level three instructor's certification. I keep coming back to TC because of the amazing group of young athletes I work with on team TC, who inspire me to become a better coach and skier.
I have come from Ohakune in the North Island and my home hill is Turoa. I have been competing in the FWQ competitions for 2 years and have worked in Ski Patrol for 3 seasons so far. I have done a small amount of instructing in Japan and have my level 1 NZSIA. TC is awesome because of the crazy terrain!
I have been teaching at Treble Cone for the last 8 seasons, working with Team TC, TCRA, SOFA, Events as well as the Ski School. I am now the training manager for Treble Cone ski school. I am qualified through the BASI instructor system and hold their level 4 ISTD qualification. I also have my equivalence and Carte Pro within the French Instructor system. I live and work in Val d'Isere in the Northern Hemisphere winters with New Generation Ski School. I love skiing and riding at Treble Cone. The world class terrain ensures there is always a challenge to overcome and improve upon. My favourite runs at TC are morning carving laps down main street, or finding a fresh spine in powder bowl on a powder day before work.

I started skiing at three years old and I’ve been on a mission to go fast and jump off stuff ever since. I have been competing in Freeride for almost ten years since I was 16, and I am now lining up my third season on the Freeride World Tour in 2019.
I became certified as a L2 ski instructor in my last year of high school so that I could pursue freeride and this is my eighth season teaching with the last three coaching freeride. Along the way I have passed Kids Cert L1 and Freeski L1.
I love working at TC because the terrain is off the chain and the view is beautiful!
My favourite run is dropping the summit rocks then hitting Crags into Shooter!
My specialty is using cognitive understanding to help develop and inspire students. My qualifications include NZSIA Trainer/Examiner, CSIA Level 3, ISIA Avalanche Guide and CASI Level 1 and I've been teaching for 24 seasons over 16 years. My home resort is Niseko United in Kutchan, Japan where I guide, train and teach.
My favourite thing about Treble Cone would have to be the terrain offered off the 6. Main Street is by far the best groomer.
From: Brighton, UK
I grew up skiing in the US and Europe. I hold a level two British Association of Ski Instructors certification and have passed the technical portion of my level three. I specialise in teaching freeride and capturing all the action in the mountain with my camera for my signature ski films. I love TC because of the accessibility to big mountain terrain and I enjoy that there is always someone to go for a rip with. This is my 5th season at Treble Cone working as a coach for the Team TC Freeride team.
FROM: Mt Ruapehu, New Zealand
I have worked in Nozawa Onsen Japan, and Kicking Horse and Whistler in Canada but I just love the view at TC. I teach both Snowboard Level 2 and Ski Level 1.
One of my favourite things to teach is how to tackle TC’s big mountain terrain. When I’m not in the snow I can be found abseiling down waterfalls in beautiful canyons.
FROM: Aspen, Colorado USA
I’m a Level 3 Ski Instructor and a full time ski junkie. I love TC because it is a great place for anyone who is willing to push themselves a little to have the most fun! There are nooks, crannies and terrain features everywhere. My favourite areas are the Chutes and Powder Bowl for steep and challenging turns. When I’m not up the mountain, I play the cello in a folk/bluegrass band.
FROM: England, UK
I love teaching kids, their motives to learn skiing are purely to have an awesome time - they’re not worried about anything else and I love that. I love playing games and trying to have a lot of fun whilst learning fundamental skills. I am a level 1 ski instructor, and learned to ski at TC and Castle Mountain, Canada. The thing I live about TC is the people and atmosphere they create which just gets me up and about every morning. My favourite run is bullet, and I love skiing for the fresh mountain air and getting out with mates who push each other to keep getting better or for one more run.
I absolutely love instructing kids of all ages, from tiny tots to teenagers! I have always loved getting little ones into the sport and helping them progress. I am a certified level two ski and snowboard instructor, and I have a strong passion for adaptive instructing for guests with any physical or intellectual disabilities. I have an adaptive certification and children’s' certification, and have experience on and off snow with autism, ADHD and Down Syndrome, specifically. I grew up on the beaches of Queensland, and currently split my year between Treble Cone and Nozawa Onsen in Japan. The TC terrain is so special and a place you could never get sick of, all the natural features are awesome and who could get used that view!

I like to teach all ages and abilities, introduce people to the snow sports world and help individuals to improve their skiing and riding level. I am a level two ski and level one snowboard instructor, and I specialise in teaching kids. I have skied Lake Louise in Canada, Tomamu in Japan and Beidahu in China. My favourite TC run is Gun Barrell, with its narrow chute for endless fun and a good leg burn. Snow sports allow family and friends to come together and have a lot of fun in the outdoors, and all this with an incredible view of Lake Wanaka is just the cherry on top.
If you want to get better at skiing, I can help you understand the mechanics and science behind the sport - I like to make it fun and interactive to learn! I am a certified level two ski instructor, and personally learned to ski at Kiroro Resort in Japan. I think TC offers the most fantastic terrain in New Zealand, and it is the reason I keep coming back to share this mountain with you. When I'm not sliding, I play Magic: The Gathering card game - I actually represented Australia in the 2017 Magic: The Gathering World Championship!
I enjoy teaching all forms of snow sliding activities to anyone keen to give something new or challenging a go. I am a level two ski and level one snowboard instructor, and before instructing was a farmer-turned-engineer. My favourite thing about skiing and snowboarding is the way it gives you freedom to find your own line and style down mountains. Before TC, I rode Mt Hotham in Australia and Fernie in Canada.
FROM: New Zealand
I teach everything and anything. I am passionate about helping people to push themselves physically and mentally, and I love helping kids develop their sliding skills. I am a level two ski instructor with children’s' certification. I love Treble Cone's wide open, undulating and gnarly terrain. I grew up in Auckland but have been skiing TC since I was 13.
FROM: Whistler, Canada
This is my 11th season at Treble Cone, and my 24th winter teaching snowboarding - in a row! I am TC's most certified and experienced snowboard instructor and have worked all over the world, as well as being head coach of the Chinese Para-Snowboarding team at the Pyeongchang Paralympic Games in 2018. But TC is home, let me show you my backyard. Come get a shreducation!
I am a level 3 snowboard and level 1 ski instructor, and have most recently instructed in Hakuba, Japan and at TC! If you're eager to learn this wonderful sport, I'm eager to teach you. I like cruising around the Saddle Basin - it gets the best cover and has great terrain.
FROM: New Zealand
I grew up skiing all around the Canterbury region, and have instructed for seasons in NZ, Canada, Switzerland, Australia and China. My favourite guests to teach are teenagers, or anyone who is keen to learn a new sport and improve their skills! It's my first season instructing at TC, but I love skiing the Motatapu Chutes and the gullies in the Saddle Basin area. Skiing offers so much opportunity to be outdoors and explore new places! When I'm off the mountain, you can follow the breeze to find me windsurfing on Lake Wanaka.
FROM: New Zealand
I have skied at TC since I was two-years-old - ever since I could walk, my parents have had me sliding. I love TC for its large variety of challenging off-piste runs and natural half-pipes (plus some of the best views in New Zealand!). I love working with kids because they are always so enthusiastic, but I'll happily teach anyone who has a passion for skiing. I think skiing is as close as you can get to the feeling of flying, which is what I love about it so much!
I'm new to TC, coming from Australia and my home mountain of Perisher. I'm a level two instructor, and most enjoy teaching kids who want to send it big on the slopes! I've also spent time teaching at Niseko, Japan and Coronet Peak, but love TC for its big mountain terrain and the possibilities to get a bit sendy.
TC's terrain is world class, and is perfect for fun skiing and pushing personal boundaries with mates! I'm a level four, freestyle-certified instructor, and have taught at Perisher in Australia, and at several B.C., Canada resorts. I am passionate about coaching in off-piste and freeride, for anyone who wants to learn!
FROM: Canada, New Zealand and England
I grew up ski racing, so I always have a soft spot for racers. I also enjoy teaching kids, and am a level two ski instructor with qualifications in adaptive and ski race coaching. My favourite run at TC is Main Street first thing in the morning while taking in one of TC's unparalleled sunrise views, or Bullet over near the Saddle. I have triple citizenship of Canada, New Zealand and England, and after this season am returning to Canada to study Architecture.
FROM: England, UK
I love the freedom and thrill of skiing and being able to share that with others is the dream. I've taught at Gala Yuwaza Ski Resort in Japan, Vermont USA and Zakopane in Poland. I'm a level two ski instructor and am happy to teach anyone and everyone, if you can tolerate my bad jokes! Before becoming an instructor, I briefly volunteered as cowgirl in Guyana (South America) - I can wrangle a herd of cattle on horseback, and I can teach anyone how to ski!
Growing up Canadian, you learn to ski before you can walk. My home mountain is Brimacombe O.N., Canada, and I am qualified as a level three ski and level two snowboard instructor, with certification in adaptive skiing, teaching kids and race coaching. I'm down to teach anyone anything if they're keen to learn. This is my second season at TC, and I love the gnarly terrain. Dave's Ditch is probably the coolest run, but there are so many possibilities on this mountain!
FROM: England, UK
TC's terrain is next level, and I'm ready to share this with anyone, as long as they bring some energy and are ready to have a great time. I'm a skier, and am a level two ski instructor. This is my second season instructing, and I have previously worked at Big White in Canada. I love skiing the Saddle, and I've never had a bad time in the Motatapu Chutes!
I love teaching both adults and children alike; getting people confident in off-piste terrain is a specialty of mine, and I have my level two ski certification to get you the best results. I love the strong sense of community at Treble Cone. I've also skied Whistler, Revelstoke, Manning Park and Mount Seymour in Canada, and Niseko in Japan. The TC sunrise is one of the best in the world! My favourite run has to be the ski from the summit on a really good powder day! When I'm not instructing, I am pursuing my Mountain Guide qualifications.
