MoreTreble Cone is accessible outside the winter operating period.
Treble Cone is accessible outside our Winter operating season. The gate to the mountain road is locked and access is managed through the Zero Harm app. This allows us to brief visitors to the mountain on any hazards they may encounter and other safety related issues and enables visitors to sign in and out of the resort area using their mobile device. The process for access is outlined below.
Click HERE to access Zero Harm. If it's your first visit, you'll need to set up an account. Click "Create Account".
Add your email address.
Complete your profile. Please leave a mobile phone number. This helps us to contact you in case of emergency and ensures we don't have to initiate a Search + Rescue procedures should you forget to sign out of Treble Cone!
Once you've set up your profile, you'll need to log in to the site. Click the "Find your workplace" link. Please ensure you do this on the day you visit. Remember - mobile data coverage is poor at the gate, so it's best to do this before you set out.
Type "Treble Cone" into the Registered Sites Search bar. Then click "Welcome to Treble Cone."
The next step is to go through the induction process. This covers a safety briefing and hazards that you may encounter within the ski area boundary and on the access road. To undertake the induction click the "Induct" button.
Please read all of the information carefully.
Once you have read through the induction process, you will be given a code to the lock box attached to the left hand gatepost at the base of the access road. This contains a key to the gate's padlock. Please lock the gate behind you and replace the key in the lock box for other users.
Please ensure you log in before entering the site each time you visit. The key code changes regularly.
Please log out every time you leave the site. This ensures we don't have to contact you or initiate SAR procedures.
Please replace the key in the lock box once you have closed and re-locked the gate.
Please park in the car park in front of the building. No vehicle access is permitted above the base building.
Please remember, access is a privilege and not a right. Please respect any instructions you may be given by our staff who may be undertaking maintenance whilst you pass through the ski area.
Please respect other users of the road and mountain as well as our native wildlife.
If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to email us: safety@treblecone.com
Board the Wanaka - Treble Cone Express or leave your car at the base of the access road and enjoy the ride in our 4WD shuttle service.
