Treble Cone Fresh Lines - 25 August

Well if its snow you want, snow is what you are going to get at Treble Cone.

Last night saw 15cm of that stunning white delight fall in the Saddle Basin as well as 12cm coming down in the Home Basin. The snow that hit the mountain received a whopping 7 out of 10 on the dryness scale from our knowledgeable Swiss groomer, so early morning turns received some dry pow and as the sun came out to play it softening the snow it provided some very fun conditions, hinting that spring time is just around the corner.

While we were forecasted to receive snow – it is always nice when the snow report follows through with the goods. This newest addition of snow is a taste, as we are also expecting to receive more into the weekend, so what better way to spend your last week of August than shredding and exploring the TC Terrain.

IT’S ALL ABOUT HIGH PERFORMANCE
Words of wisdom by our main rentals man Dean, about why getting high performance gear will not only increase the stoke factor but also make your skiing/riding more enjoyable!

Rental TeamThe high performance rentals we have are ideally suited for your intermediate and above skiers and riders, if you are coming up to TC you want to be able to enjoy everything it has to offer, and definitely do not want to be weighed down by beginner-style equipment.

If you are an intermediate skier/rider spending that bit extra on high performance gear can just make things that bit easier for you, our high performance rentals are the most up to date gear that Rossignol, Volkl and Burton have, and so different designs will enhance your own style of shredding.

We had a customer in today, Kat, hired out the Burton Custom Flying V Board, came in later in the day thrilled about how this board had completely changed her riding, making her turns better, easier on her muscles and just having a bunch of fun. So even if you are an expert skier/rider and just want to try something new to play around on – we have plenty of options that suit different snow conditions. Changing it up could give you a shredding epiphany – Come in and have a chat to the rentals team!

Message from your friendly TC Patrollers
TC Patrol would like to highlight the importance of observing mountain closures. These closures are in place for the safety of our guests. We have had multiple skiers and boarders breaking the Hollywood Bowl and Motatapu Chutes fence closure today.

The snow may look inviting however we were closed because of a considerable avalanche hazard. We are not actively patrolling areas when they are closed so if anyone was caught in an avalanche or injured we may not know until the evening carpark sweep. It is our policy to remove the passes of closure breakers for a two week period. So please do not enter closed areas or you will lose what you use.

Thanks for your understanding and compliance.
