For school children, skiing and snowboarding are more than just leisure activities. They provide opportunities for health, education and personal growth. They improve balance, co-ordination and stamina and help develop self-esteem and a sense of accomplishment. It gives children a chance to socialise in a new environment which can help to encourage friendships and build confidence.
