SCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMPS 2017
Ski Race Training
- 5 Days of Ski Technique and Gate Training
- Race SL and GS Stronger and Faster
Join our ski race coaches for a 5 day camp during the school holidays. The team of very experienced ski racing coaches that will work with you on skiing better and faster in the race course as well as improving your overall skiing skills. While the mornings are spent going through the race course we will do video analysis and ski technique work on the groomers as well as in the off piste.
Our approach to ski racing is to raise junior ski racers that have solid ski racing fundamentals, enabling them to ski all kinds of terrain and conditions and succeed in all different race situations.
We believe that big buildings need strong foundations and a young ski racer needs strong ski fundamentals in order to be successful in the future. We are not about endless, unattended lapping of gates, rather building the right skills in various terrain. You can expect us to work with great precision to guarantee that the right muscle memory is created.

FAQ (for the camps in general, some information won't be relevant to the Spring Freeride Camps):
What are the training times?
We will train for 4.5 hours each day on snow. To give you a little more time on day 1 we will meet at 9:30 in the TC Snow Sports School meeting area, which is on snow directly opposite of the guest services where you can see the red flags. On the following days the training might start earlier but this will be discussed in each training group individually. Around 12pm we will have a lunch break. Lunch is not provided but will be supervised. Training will end around 2:30pm - 3:00pm depending on the length of the agreed lunch break.
Is transport provided?
Transport is not included in this programme. We will assist in organising car pools.
Do I need special skis for this programme?
No. For the Race Camps as you will spend a lot of time trying to ski as fast as possible around gates we recommend that you use a ski that makes carving easier and allows you to go faster. Special race skis are not required. For the Freeride courses ideal ski for this camp would be a "mid fat" around 80mm under foot. For snowboarding you can use your usual equipment. Helmets are compulsory for all our camps.
On the race camps we only be skiing in gates?
No. We will use the 5 days (3 days for the Spring Camps) best to help you improve your ski racing performance. This will of course also involve work on your general skiing skills. We therefore will do a lot of very helpful ski technique drills in various terrain, we will use video to help you see what you could be doing better and will also use TC’s great off-piste terrain to help you become a well-rounded ski racer.
What can I expect from this programme?
You can expect to train with some very experienced race and freeride coaches that will really care about your development as a skier or snowboarder. In our personal and small training groups we will try to create an environment where you can grow your love for ski racing/freeride and skiing in general and we will give our best that you have a great week at Treble Cone.
