Southern Lakes Ski Holidays - More than Just Skiing
Skiing is one of the many activities and attractions that could be part of your winter visit to Queenstown. The quick highlight list has to include:
- Ziptrek and the luge at the top of Skyline Gondola, a Queenstown icon that should be on your itinerary
- AJ Hackett Bungy with all their sites and now the new Nevis Arc - a huge rope swing!
- Off Road Adventures - sporting quad bikes make this a fun highlight which most can enjoy.
- Golf - can be a late start to allow the greens to thaw out in winter but in Queenstown the mountains are rivalled by the Golf courses. Kelvin heights and Arrowtown were the main stays and still the big local memberships but now they have been joined by the resort courses of Millbrook, Jacks Point and 'Hill Brook'. It does get expensive at the very top end, $550 for a round at Hill brook but obviously you are spoilt for choice.
Plus more than anything SO much to EAT and so much to DRINK.
Skiing Queenstown and the Southern Lakes is a classic New Zealand holiday experience. Come and see us at TC while you are in Queenstown to experience all the skiing our region has to offer.
