These rates are designed for clubs and groups looking to have fun on the snow. Make a booking for 20 or more people and take advantage of these great rates below.

Ski and Snowboard Levels Guide for Social Groups
 
Ski Levels Snowboard Levels
1 First time skier who has never skied before 1 First time snowboarder who has never boarded before
2 Skiing green runs and linking turns to both sides using a wedge or stem turn (not yet parallel) 2 Falling leaf, toe and heel side, starting to turn , riding beginner lifts
3 Skiing blue runs, skis in parallel throughout the turn, starting to ski off-piste 3 Turning on blue runs comfortably on both sides, starting to explore more of the terrain
4 Skiing black runs comfortably, exploring all the mountain has to offer 4 Comfortable all over the mountain, learning jumps and tricks
 
What to bring on your ski and snowboard trip?
 
Waterproof jacket and pants
Warm layers of clothing to account for changeable conditions
Warm, waterproof gloves or mittens
Warm socks
Goggles and/or sunglasses with full UV protection
Warm headwear
Warm, sturdy footwear
Sunscreen for exposed skin and lips – minimum factor 15+
Plenty of snacks and fluids
Cell phone for easy contact on the mountain

Tips for your visit
 
Changeable weather conditions mean that the road can be restricted to vehicles with chains and 4WD. Please make sure that you always carry chains
Keep you group together in one area until you have collected all of your tickets from the Snow Sports Help Desk
Nominate just one or two people to collect your tickets for the Snow Sports help desk
Distribute correct tickets to each person before sending them through to Rentals
You should go through Rentals as one group, unless otherwise instructed
Make sure your group organizer accompanies the group through Rentals
Ensure that students are at their designated meeting area for lessons at 8:50am
Have a meeting area and time arranged for children and adults who may get separated from the group
 
Please make sure that you turn up for your lesson on time – there are no refunds for shortened or missed lessons.
 
What happens on the morning of your trip?
 
Call the Snowphone on 03 443 7444 for an updated report on conditions
Contact us if there are any last minute changes
Upon arrival go directly to the Snow Sports helpdesk and identify yourself to the staff
We will have your tickets ready for your pick up
If applicable, you will make your way to Rentals to get fitted with gear
Then you will make your way to the pre arranged lesson meeting place

Bookings - Bookings for all social groups are essential and there must be a minimum group number of 20 to qualify. Bookings must be made at least 2 weeks in advance. Discounts will not be available to groups who arrive at Treble Cone without having pre-booked.
Rental rates apply to either a Ski Set (carving skis, boots and poles)or snowboard set (board and boots)
First Timer Package includes a beginner lift pass, equipment rentals and one group lesson.
Lesson - Lessons for social groups take place at 10:30 or 1:30, unless otherwise specified and run for 2 hours.
Confirmation - Once the booking is received, you will be contacted a week prior to your arrival to confirm you booking
Payment - Payment must be received as one payment for the whole group on a daily basis. Payment can be made by credit card, cheque or cash. GST receipts will be issued upon payment
The instructor to student ratio is 1 - 8
Youth – aged 6-17 years attending primary or secondary school. Proof of age may be requested. Under 6 years FREE
Senior – 65 to 69. Proof of age may be requested. 70 years and over FREE
New Zealand and Australia Tertiary Institution Student ID Only – ISIC cards are not accepted.
