The 2009 season was phenomenal. With base depths nearly surpassing three meters and powder days straight through closing day, anybody who spent some time up at Treble Cone this winter went home stoked.
The mountain is now closed, but we are already gearing up for next season. If you would like to receive information and updates from Treble Cone over the summer, please sign up for our Freshlines Newsletter. We will keep you informed about seasons pass sales and the latest news from TC.
Thanks for coming up this season. We are looking forward to seeing you again next year.
Well over 100 participants took part in the 350 photo shoot at Treble Cone this past Thursday. Wanaka Waste Busters and Sustainable Wanaka organised the local event as part of a world wide movement to show the government that it is unacceptable to allow our carbon dioxide emissions to reach 450 parts per million (ppm).
The 350 movement seeks to educate the NZ population about how 350 ppm (parts per million) of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the safe threshold for our climate. Scientists agree that if we do not move down from our current position of 389 ppm, then global climate change will be devastating. For more information please visit 350.org.nz.
Triple Comp
Thanks to everyone who participated in the Triple Comp this past weekend. We had a great turnout with over 70 competitors competing in the three separate events. Nearly everyone who attended the awards on Sunday came away with something from our sponsors: BASE, Harris Mountains Heli-Ski, Rossignol, Miller Genuine Draft, Pow, Armada, Adventure Outfitters, Thunderboards and Wanaka Waste Busters.
Please follow the link to the Triple Comp Events Page to find the results. Thanks again and we will see you next year.
